First of all, I could not turn down the opportunity to say yes when Kathleen said she wanted her engagement photos done in BIG SUR! If you’ve been I’m sure you know exactly what I’m talking about and if you haven’t, please go NOW! It’s some sort of special that can’t be explained.
This was my first time meeting Kathleen and Payton, and it was days like this that makes me love my job and how it allows me to contact new friends, and meet them in amazing places like Big Sur.
It made me a little nervous knowing there was no cell service up there, but everything went according to plan.
Keldon and Prue came along with me. And since we got there a wee bit early, we headed to a park nearby and played on the slide for just about an hour before having to get ready for Kathleen and Payton to arrive. Which just meant stuffing down my Trader Joes salad and jumping across the street to meet them at Sand Dollar Beach.
I was also a bit worried it was going to be a bit crowded, since its a hot touristy location. Not to mention a holiday weekend. But it was perfect, and the weather was just sublime.
We started above at the cliffs and admired the crazy bright blue water below us. After getting comfortable for a bit we dodged about 30 teenagers for a super non private romp on the beach.
